Food Gatherers, the food bank and food rescue program serving Washtenaw County, is seeking a Development Associate to join our fundraising team.

The Development Associate is responsible for managing Food Gatherers’ peer-to-peer and third-party fundraising, supporting donor engagement efforts and stewardship (thanking donors and sharing the impact of their gifts), data collection, database support, and assisting with special events and other fundraising activities as directed.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong verbal and written skills, who will enjoy a job that offers a mix of interaction with the public and working alone managing data. Ideal candidates will be passionate about our mission to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community. Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will include work from home days and work on-site days; the schedule will be set by the employee and supervisor. Food Gatherers’ warehouse carefully follows all public health guidelines related to COVID-19.

This position is full time and the salary range starts at $38,000; experience will be taken into consideration when determining final pay. Summer Food Service Program Mobile Driver

Food Gatherers is hiring a mobile driver to assist with the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)! The SFSP Mobile Driver will drive a commercial vehicle throughout Washtenaw County to assist with delivery, setup, and teardown of temporary food distributions.

Prior commercial driving experience is a plus but is not required for this position. We are seeking applicants who demonstrate excellent customer service, who like working with the general public and working with children. Because the position works closely with children and within a government program, a background check will be required.

This is a temporary, part-time position expected to last from June 7, 2021 until August 31, 2021. The SFSP Mobile Driver will work 24-30 hours per week. This position is not eligible for benefits.
