Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community. We distribute 5.5 million pounds of food to 150 non-profits serving Washtenaw County.

08/26/14 – Live and free music at The Ark with a non-perishable food donation for Food Gatherers. For a list of performances please visit for details.

Mow Down Hunger, 4th Annual

09/10/14 – Weingartz has partnered with Food Gatherers to raise 1,000,000 meals for hungry kids in Southeastern Michigan; Through October 6, Weingartz will match anyone who starts or upgrades a monthly donation to Food Gatherers for a full year. Your monthly gift of $25 will be doubled to $50 every month for 12 months, providing 1,800 meals to our neighbors in need! Visit to learn how you can help reach the million meal goal.
